The Greater Western Sydney Region spans 13 local government areas and represents over 2.5 million people; many of whom are culturally diverse, working class, and historically underrepresented in the national screen industry. Our work responds directly to systemic inequities in access, opportunity, and visibility. We exist to change the narrative: not just showcasing local talent, but investing in it. Our hybrid model combines revenue-generating services (video production, livestreaming, film licensing, and creative consulting) with impact-focused programs (filmmaker training, community screenings, cultural events, and mentorships). This approach fuels both financial sustainability and measurable social change; growing local creative capacity, economic opportunity, and pride of place.

Revenue comes from: -Feature packages and sponsored storytelling training -Strategic communications and capacity building for for-purpose organisations -Digital products such as BoardQAI, our AI-powered board governance support tool -Membership tiers for individuals and organisations who want to back local impact -Consulting across governance, fundraising and community engagement Profits are reinvested into lived-experience contributors, free community content and tech tools that strengthen the sector. The impact we are working toward is threefold: -Increase awareness of services and reduce help-seeking barriers -Strengthen Canberra's social and community sector capacity -Build a connected community that celebrates impact rather than only crisis We are building an ecosystem where storytelling drives visibility, visibility drives revenue, revenue funds tools and capacity, and that in turn strengthens the very organisations whose stories we tell.

Queer Food

Queer Food launched its first retail product online in November 2023 with a simple idea, to tell LGBTQIA+ stories through food. Our first product, a dukkah made in collaboration with Shawnah Cady (aka MadB) for their wedding, has since expanded into a national retail range. Every item we create is rooted in storytelling, inspired by LGBTQIA+ history or developed in collaboration with community icons, shaping everything in our product range. Along the way, we ventured into catering, but soon realised our true passion was in crafting meaningful retail products, focusing on fewer things, and doing them with greater care and purpose. Throughout our journey, we've remained committed to creating employment opportunities for queer and trans people and reinvesting a portion of our revenue into initiatives that support and uplift our communities. Today, Queer Food continues to use food as a platform for visibility, pride, and connection, proving that every bite can be an act of cultural change.
