Food Next Door combines human potential with farmland potential to transform vacant land into healthy productive foodscapes and build community. Our farmer members are former refugees and new migrants who want to grow organic food for our community and teach the next generation. Our mission is nurturing land, nourishing people.

MFM is a registered NFP and social enterprise establishing and managing accredited farmers markets across Melbourne. We're at Alphington Food Hub; a circular economy project based on the collective impact of a number of like-minded food systems organisations and our weekly Sunday morning farmers market.

Out of the Box is a weekly subscription to a box of fresh, locally sourced produce that is grown using regenerative practices. Out of the Box is a great way to not only feed your household with nutritious healthy produce, but also support your local food community. We work closely with local, small scale and family growers within a 100km radius of Mildura, and support them to grow using methods that improve soil quality and biodiversity. Profits from sales are fed back into Food Next Door community projects.

We build Individual and Community capacity through a range of horticultural, agricultural and/or creative programs that helps to tackle intergenerational trauma and poverty, alleviates social isolation and builds sustainable outcomes and resilient communities.
