Different Journeys

Care@Work - who is caring for the unpaid carers in the workforce Different Journeys are leaders in helping unpaid carers manage the impacts of caring on their working lives, find out about supports available to them, and access these free resources. We support carers and employers to understand each other’s needs. We improve carer wellbeing to reduce the risk of employers losing valuable staff. Over the last eight years, Different Journeys has provided peer support to over 10,000 carers and people with autism. Together, we have exchanged isolation for connection and hope. Our focus on carers has continued to grow; today, this is the larger part of our work. We acknowledge carers’ many unpaid responsibilities and their critical contribution to our community. We walk alongside carers to enable them to access services and resources and help them negotiate the many barriers that can be placed in their way. We also create systems and environments that acknowledge, support, and protect carers at every stage of their journey in our workplace. We do this because it allows us to attract and retain team members with remarkable talents and because we want to show what is possible.
