STEM Engagement Sponsorship The STEM Engagement Sponsorship supports initiatives that build Western Australia's future STEM capability.

This grant supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in remote areas of South Australia, focusing on conservation initiatives, community engagement, education, and cultural connection.

An annual award of $2,000 for one UWA Fogarty Scholar, recognizing exceptional innovation, achievements, or community contributions.

Provides grants of up to $2,000 for UWA Fogarty Scholars to support projects or ventures aligned with the Fogarty Foundation's mission.

Offers up to $1,500 in travel funding for UWA Fogarty Scholars to support exchange programs or summer opportunities.

This grant is for children and young people living with disabilities in South Australia whose needs are not fully covered by the NDIS. It aims to bridge educational gaps and ensure connection to learning and peers through innovative solutions.

Participants in this contest can win over $20,000 in prizes by submitting nature-themed photographs.

Rio Tinto has committed A$250 million to this Western Australian Government initiative, supporting iconic infrastructure projects in areas such as education, training, health, Aboriginal wellbeing, and energy decarbonisation.

This program provides grants of up to A$5,000 to local grassroots organisations in Western Australia where Rio Tinto Iron Ore and Dampier Salt Limited operate, including regional FIFO communities, focusing on thriving communities, environmental stewardship, creating opportunities, walking together, and caring for Country.

Designed for smaller grassroots organisations and organisations new to the foundation. Maximum request is $25,000. Focus areas include mental health, education equity, homelessness, family violence, addiction, food insecurity, disability inclusion, and arts/culture.

One-off financial aid grant of up to $600 for individuals financially impacted by cervical cancer, including costs for medical services, medications, counselling, transport, rent, groceries, and recreational activities

An initiative launched in 2011 to promote sustainable business opportunities for Aboriginal people by encouraging joint venture partnerships and awarding contracts and sub-contracts to Aboriginal businesses and joint venture partners. It also includes a funding scheme in partnership with ANZ to help eligible Aboriginal businesses access finance.

Awarded annually in conjunction with the Department of Education to a government school student intending to study an Asian language at university, with funds designated for in-country study.

An annual award coordinated by the Western Australian Secondary School Executives Association (WASSEA) for up to five Year 12 public school students to assist their continuation into tertiary education (university or TAFE).

A biennial award for language teachers to enhance their knowledge of languages and/or language teaching pedagogy. Applications are invited in February of every second year.

Provides funding for activities, programs, and individuals that advance social change through education in Western Australia, focusing on innovative proposals with sustainable positive impacts on education, young people, and leadership.

Grants for artists and community programs focused on Indigenous and marginalized art

This fund provides bursaries to empower deserving students to pursue a quality Catholic education within the Presentation tradition across Western Australian Presentation Schools, promoting social justice.

Financial bursary for students in Year 7 or above to attend John XXIII College, established in 2021

The grants focus on supporting three priority categories: Aboriginal community engagement, Science, technology, environment and math (STEM) education, and Environmental initiatives. Our program offers grants of between $2,000 – $5,000 for not-for-profit organisations in the categories listed above.

Rio Tinto committed an additional $10 million to the Shire of Ashburton for the Minna Oval Development Project in Tom Price, which includes a clubhouse, sports viewing areas, changerooms, and a playground, enhancing sports and recreation facilities.

A $15,000 prize awarded to one recipient from the yearly Minderoo Foundation Artist Fund cohort who has shown resilience, innovation, and courage in delivering their project and sustaining an arts career.
