Description

Climate Vocabularies: New methodologies for music and science communication. This project proposes a radical shift to artistic climate communication, where music is positioned in a driving role in scientific and communication research. This research will develop an innovative framework for transdisciplinary music-science collaboration via new creative work, and provides capacity building opportunities for researchers. It correlates with the National Cultural Policy (Pillar 3: Centrality of the Artist; Pillar 5: Engaging the Audience) to create more powerful experiences for reflection, emotion and motivation towards action, and strongly aligns with the third imperative of the Australian National Science Statement: A diverse, skilled workforce to underpin the translation of science into new industries.. Scheme: Discovery Projects. Field: 3603 - Music. Lead: Dr Louise Devenish
