Audiobooks and digital book culture . This project aims to investigate digital technology's impact on book culture through a study of Australian audiobooks. It expects to generate new knowledge about Australian books' relationship to global culture and technology. Expected outcomes include new research infrastructure in the form of a comprehensive database of Australian audio publications and advances in the way publishers and cultural institutions consider the role and value of audiobooks. This should lead to significant benefits, including providing publishers with access to reader survey and industry publication data that will help to increase community access to audiobooks. .
