Description

A Quantum Control Toolbox for Two-Dimensional Quantum Turbulence. This project aims to investigate two-dimensional turbulence in quantum superfluids, via a novel approach involving quantum control to engineer the environments favourable for particular turbulent phenomena. This new approach will allow for quantum turbulence to be investigated in new regimes, and with finely tuneable control over dissipation dynamics. A better understanding of quantum turbulence will shed light on models of classically turbulent systems, such as atmospheric and oceanic models, as well as pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. .
