The foundation particularly values research that addresses health needs and supports researchers early in their careers. Giving Philosophy
Focuses on funding research that will 'help people live healthier for longer' with emphasis on supporting emerging researchers and clinical staff to develop research careers. Believes in building research capacity through New Investigator Grants, Equipment Grants, and supporting healthcare workers early in their research journey. Also funds community-based programs that address social isolation and improve patient recovery outcomes.

New Investigator Grants
Research training grants for new researchers (healthcare workers, clinicians, allied health staff) undertaking small research projects up to $10,000
The Common Good Changemaker Scholarship
Recognizes young individuals under the age of 21, who are either preparing to attend or currently matriculated at college, and have demonstrated impact in their local or national community by advocating for causes they believe are fundamental to societal progress.
Innovation Grants
These seed grants provide an opportunity for QUT CBT-based engineers and scientists to collaborate with clinicians at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) on small research projects addressing clinically relevant problems. Projects are valued up to $15,000 and are to be completed within one year.
Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Health Grants
These grants support research projects addressing clinical needs at Caboolture Hospital, Kilcoy Hospital, and/or Woodford Corrections Health. Projects are valued up to $20,000 and are for small, well-defined studies conducted over one to two years.
Research Fellowships
These fellowships provide salary support of $110,000 per annum for three years, aiming to build research capacity by supporting full-time researchers at The Prince Charles Hospital campus or in significant partnership with TPCH. Applications typically open in July each year.
PhD Scholarships
This scholarship offers a living stipend to individuals undertaking a full-time or part-time PhD degree at a recognised Australian university, with research conducted at or in significant association with The Prince Charles Hospital.
Research Equipment Grants
These grants are available to fund pieces of equipment that support research within any area of The Prince Charles Hospital. Applications for equipment utilised by multiple groups or with co-funding are considered favourably.
Early Career Research Fellowships
Introduced in 2017, these fellowships provide a continuum of support for researchers, guiding those new to research through essential training and skills development during their PhD and post-doctoral studies.
Emerging Researcher Grants
These grants are part of the Foundation's continuum of support for researchers, building on the New Investigator Grants to further advance research careers.
Mid-Career Research Fellowships
Added in 2024, these fellowships offer targeted support to mid-career researchers to maintain momentum, expand collaborations, and lead larger-scale projects, ensuring continuity in their research careers.
