Canberra Grammar School Foundation Building Trust
Tips for Applicants
The Foundation is closely tied to Canberra Grammar School. Applications for Indigenous scholarships are directed through the School. For general donations, the Foundation accepts tax-deductible contributions. Given the School's focus on Indigenous education, applicants with Indigenous background or connections should highlight this. The Foundation values transparency and publishes annual reports and impact reports.
Giving Philosophy
The Foundation believes philanthropy is essential to supplement limited government funding (only ~15% of school revenue) and reduce the financial burden on families. It focuses on long-term security and advancement of the School through scholarships (particularly for Indigenous students), facility development, and staff development. The Foundation aims to educate 100 Indigenous students by 2029, the School's 100th anniversary.
