VACCHO is the peak representative organisation for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations in Victoria, supporting 34 member ACCOs that provide services to over 65,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. They lead and support Aboriginal community control in the health and social services sector, advocating for and delivering transformative health and wellbeing outcomes through cultural safety training, policy advocacy, and direct program delivery including the Balit Durn Durn Centre for social and emotional wellbeing.

Giving Philosophy

VACCHO operates as a peak body supporting Aboriginal self-determination and community control in health. It provides funding, resources, training, and advocacy support to member ACCOs across Victoria, prioritizing culturally safe practice, community-led solutions, and holistic approaches to Aboriginal health and wellbeing that integrate Aboriginal ways of knowing, being and doing.
