Merriwa Country Education Foundation
Giving Philosophy
CEF believes education changes lives, families and communities. They focus on students from regional and rural areas who face financial barriers to education. Grants are awarded based on financial need, commitment to goals, and regional connection. They use a reimbursement model for educational expenses including accommodation, technology, fuel, food, living expenses, textbooks and tools.
Tips for Applicants
Applicants must demonstrate financial need, be aged 16-25, have attended school in or currently live in the Merriwa region, and show commitment to achieving education goals. Local CEF committees assess applications and conduct interviews. A short paragraph for application questions is recommended.
