Giving Philosophy
AMRF directs its funding to medical researchers with the greatest ideas in the industry, focusing on projects that can change the face of medical research and patient care. The foundation guarantees that every dollar donated goes directly to medical research and supports innovative new medical care and treatment research.
Tips for Applicants
Applicants should demonstrate innovative research ideas with potential to impact patient care and medical treatments. Given the foundation's long history with the Austin precinct, strong connections to Austin Hospital research programs may be viewed favourably.
Programs & Opportunities (3)
For postdoctoral researchers with up to 10 years postdoctoral experience to test innovative ideas outside their established research program.
For early-career clinical researchers with a medical degree and PhD within 5 years. Provides funding for research project costs and/or salary. Final year in 2025.
Standard grants for independent investigators with PhD or equivalent to conduct medical research at Austin Health.
